Having spent over 20 years working as a Freelance Make-up Artist with celebrites, TV presenters and fashion models, Laura’s passion of making someone feel and look their best, as naturally as possible has always been a priority. Achieving the ‘no makeup makeup look’ has always been Laura’s speciality and it was what lead her to re-train to become a Facial Therapist. Makeup will only ever look as good as the canvas it is applied on. However, Laura was drawn to natural skincare methods, understanding the positive impact facial massage can have on both the skin and mind.

Laura believes that clients are beginning to turn to more natural skin rejuvenating techniques and move away from harsh treatments and that can cause more stress to the skin, and on top of that they want to feel truly cared for.

Society is filled with busy schedules, home environments and congested minds, be it from social media over consumption, constant comparisons, or negative news that affects how we feel. Therefore, the need for a moment of pause and lowering the volume is high. Laura also recognises that every client has different needs and these needs can vary every time they visit, meaning no Facial is ever a ‘paint by numbers’ method.

With this in mind, Laura created her signature facial treatment, The Sculpting Reiki Facial, which has been described as more of an experience and ritual compared to traditional Facials, with real, transformational skin results and deeply calming and realigning benefits for the mind.

The blend of soothing, flowing and rhythmic movements, brings calm to the parasympathetic nervous system and often lulls clients to sleep or into restorative relaxation, whilst the more stimulating sculpting elements work to release tension build up in the muscles and skin tissue, to maximise flow of circulation, lymphatic drainage and energy, whilst also leaving the skin glowing and facial features contoured and lifted with a look of rejuvenation.
